Final relaxation

Yoga is just an amazing tool to help heal the body, the emotional body and for the mind poison to decrease. Lately I have had many clients approach me about starting a yoga practice to either heal an injury or medical condition.

An injury or medical condition may be physical sign that the body is giving to you to tell you ‘Hey something is wrong don’t ignore me!’. You need to address this issue or problem that has come up in your life. It may not always be easy but by just getting onto your mat that makes the healing process so much easier and quicker. Its not about the physical poses, you do what your body can do that day. Listen to the body by not over straining and fighting the body, be gentle and patient.  In your yoga practice the breath is the most important element, if you are struggling or unable to do a pose just sit and close your eyes and visualize yourself in the pose. If you are just unable to practice do breathing, restorative yoga, light stretches or meditation.

Be mindful and aware of what goes through your mind, the thinking process, your reaction to people, how you practice on your mat with grace or violence. This awareness is the first step.

I know from my own experience that if we ignore these signs our physical body will just not recover.

It’s just not normal to live a life of suffering even though this is what is conditioned into us. What if you were always happy and content with what life had to give you? You are in control of your own happiness you can’t depend or expect others to make you happy. You are responsible for your own happiness and once you have gained respect and love for yourself the body will recover and heal.
